What a plant needs to survive/ Lo que una planta necesita para sobrevivir

During this week, the children of the 2nd level have been learning about what a plant needs to survive: Water, sunlight, soil and air. They illustrated this learning with the worksheet you can see in the picture.

Traducción :Durante esta semana, los alumnos de segundo curso han ido aprendiendo acerca de los elementos que necesita una planta para vivir: Tierra, aire, agua y luz del sol. Han ilustrado este aprendizaje son diversos trabajos, entre otros como el que observamos en esta ficha.

The parts of an ant´s body/ Las partes del cuerpo de una hormiga

At the beginning of this term children of the 2nd level learnt which are the parts of the insects´ body. As a result of this learning, they did this activity, consisted of cutting and sticking the parts of an ant´s body and write its names.

Traducción: Al comienzo de este trimestre, los alumnos de segundo curso aprendieron de qué partes consta el cuerpo de los insectos. Como muestra de este aprendizaje, los alumnos realizaron este trabajo, consistente en cortar y pegar las partes de una hormiga, y escribir los nombres de éstas.

MY SKELETON/MI ESQUELETO

In the first unit of Science, pupils of the 2nd level are working on the topic of the human body.

Throughout this week they have been learning about the skeleton and its bones, for example:  Skull, ribs or spine.

In the picture, you can see the skeletons made by the children of 2ºB

Las plantas

Hemos empezado el tema de las plantas. Inma nos muestra su "cultivo de césped" (grass), hecho en plastilina.

DESCRIBING ANIMALS/DESCRIBIENDO ANIMALES

             Yesterday, children were reading the main characteristics of some animals: If they are wild or domestic, the number of legs, their movements, their size, where they live...etc. ..etc Then, they had to draw the animal with these characteristics.

             Ayer, los niños estuvieron leyendo las características principales de los animales: Si son salvajes o domesticos, el número de patas, su modo de desplazamiento, su tamaño....etc. Después, tenían que dibujar el animal al que se refería la descripción.

    

Last week, children of the 1st level worked on the topic of Christmas. On the photo, we can see one of the boys, Yeray, concentrated on finishing his worksheet about Christmas decoration vocabulary.
We can also observe the wonderful crib, made of plasticine, that the children have manufactured, following the steps of their great teacher and artist, Senhorita Fina. HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!

TRADUCCIÓN : La semana pasada, los ninhos de primero trabajaron sobre el tema de la Navidad. En la foto, vemos a uno de los chicos, Yeray, concentrado en terminar su ficha sobre el vocabulario relativo a la decoración de Navidad. Además, también podemos admirar el maravilloso belén de plastilina que los alumnos han realizado siguiendo los pasos de su maestra y gran artista, la senhorita Fina. FELIZ NAVIDAD A TODOS!!

THIS IS MY BODY/ESTE ES MI CUERPO

During this week, children are learning the parts of the body (they already know 23!!). In the picture, they  are painting the main parts (head, torso and limbs), in three different colours. What a good job!!

TRADUCCIÓN: Durante esta semana, los niños están aprendiendo las partes del cuerpo (ya se saben 23!!). En la foto, ellos están pintando las partes principales (cabeza, tronco y extremidades), en tres colores distintos. ¡Qué buen trabajo!

Un alumno de primero que ha terminado sus actividades, empieza a relacionar las palabras con las imágenes.
